
The 13th ANNUAL HEALTHWORLD CONFERENCE —“Ensuring a Modernized, Sustainable & Predictable Healthcare System”—took place on Tuesday, September 23 & Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Athens Ledra Hotel, and was marked by great success and participation by all stakeholders in the healthcare sector of Greece. The conference was held under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Health and the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies.
Approximately 400 distinguished guests, representatives of political, academic and business community attended the conference and took part in the vibrant dialogue, expressing at the same time their deep concerns regarding Greece’s healthcare environment. Key issues of the healthcare sector have been presented and discussed at the conference. Important suggestions have been made and solutions proposed regarding the parameters that can guarantee a modernized, stable and predictable healthcare system which will lead not only to unobstructed patient access to medicines and health services but also to the productive reconstruction of the health sector.
