The inauguration ceremony of the Hellenic Pavilion at AUSA 2014 International Meeting and Exposition took place on Monday, October 13, 2014 in Washington, DC and was marked by great success and participation by the defense attaches from various countries, military high ranking officials from the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense, representatives from the Greek Embassy in Washington and business representatives from the worldwide defense community.
The Hellenic participation was held under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of National Defence and with the support of Enterprise Greece Invest and Trade, the Hellenic Aerospace & Defense Industries Group (HASDIG) and the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defense Material Association (SEKPY).
The Alternate Minister of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, Fofi Gennimata, the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the United States, Christos Panagopoulos, the AUSA Vice President LTG Jerry Sinn, the Defense and Military Attaché of the Greek Embassy in Washington DC, Colonel Evangelos Papadopoulos, and the President of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, Simos Anastasopoulos, cut the Ribbon of the Hellenic Pavilion.
Hellenic Defence Systems, Intracom Defence Electronics, Kouimtzis/Alpha Systems, Elfon and Theon Sensors took part at the exhibition and presented state of the art technology equipment.
