The 17th ANNUAL HEALTHWORLD CONFERENCE
—“Health in the Post-Memorandum Era”—took place June 11 and 12, 2018 at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel. The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), the Association of Health Research and Biotechnology Industry (SEIV), the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and Medtech Europe.
The HEALTHWORLD Conference once again proved its position as a premier health policy forum for constructive dialogue between experts from the academic/scientific community, government, medical community, HC sector professionals, representatives of international organizations and policy-makers.
The theme of this year’s conference defined its content that focused precisely at the time when our country is approaching the exit of the memorandums and set the base for various pertinent discussions in key chronic issues in the health sector, but also to the new challenges that have arisen in the years of the memorandum. The necessity of setting a road map in HC with patient centered policies that ensure unimpeded access to HC services and also a stable environment that will allow the introduction of innovative therapies and medicines in the country was among the issues discussed in depth by approximately 400 delegates that took part at the discussions, during both conference days.
Sincere thanks to our distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad who have honored us with their presence and contributed to the success of the conference and also to our sponsors for their continuous help and support.
